In all likelihood, it has to do with an audio codec issue.
1) Download and install codec packs:
For Windows – https://codecguide.com/download_k-lite_codec_pack_mega.htm
For MAC – https://perian.org
2) After installation, reboot the system.
3) Try playing the video again.
