Have you ever noticed how autumn leaves look like photographs from the earth taken from the height of an airplane? The veins looking like streets or rivers, the brown areas could be buildings or swamps. Green could be forest or grasslands, same for yellow…
Seeing the leaf today reminded me of the great book Presence – Human Purpose and the Field of the Future. In the very first chapter, they quote Henri Bortoft, a researcher who works on Goethean Science: “Everything is in everything” and “The part is a place for the presencing of the whole”.
So, if I look close enough at the leaf, maybe I will discover myself somewhere? I think I would like to be in the green part then.
Totally agree.
